TITLE 18 U.S.C., SECTION 1831 / NSA SPYING FACILITATES CORPORATE-SPONSORED PROPRIETARY INFORMATION THEFT

THE N.S.A.
The National Security Agency steals secrets from foreign businesses, according to former agency contractor Edward Snowden, despite past statements from the Obama administration and former intelligence officials that state-sponsored industrial espionage is unacceptable behavior.

During a recent interview in Russia with German TV network ARD TV, Snowden used Germany-based telecom Siemens AG as a potential target that could be of interest to U.S. spies. Full video of the interview is available only in Germany.

"There is no question that the U.S. is engaged in economic spying," Snowden said during the interview. "If there's information at Siemens that's beneficial to U.S. national interests - even if it doesn't have anything to do with national security - then they'll take that information nevertheless."

If that were true the U.S. would be guilty of violating its own code of conduct for international intelligence. The Obama administration condemned Chinese government hacking of U.S. businesses in March 2013, when Tom Donilon, national security adviser to the Obama administration, said in a speech "the international community cannot afford to tolerate such activity from any country..."

NOTE: Economic Espionage: According to the Economic Espionage Act (EEA), Title 18 U.S.C., Section 1831, economic espionage is (1) whoever knowingly performs targeting or acquisition of trade secrets to (2) knowingly benefit any foreign government, foreign instrumentality, or foreign agent. And Theft of Trade Secrets, Title 18 U.S.C., Section 1832, is (1) whoever knowingly misappropriates trade secrets to (2) benefit anyone other than the owner.

NSA spying violates Title 18 U.S.C., Section 1831 by facilitating economic espionage and/or corporate proprietary information theft by allowing information not necessarily related to national security to be stolen and shared among people who do not have a right to this information.

In the past; corporations would (for instance) steal proprietary information and/or fledgling product ideas in various forms of development then mass produce new products derived from these ideas fully aware that inventors could usually not afford to fight these corporations in court. But now various corporations have direct access to proprietary information through NSA spying

KNOCKERS AND/OR CLACKERS
FOR INSTANCE; CLACKERS (ALSO KNOWN AS KNOCKERS AND CLICK CLACKS) WERE INITIALLY INVENTED BY A SUNNYVALE MAN NAMED MISTER BRITT -- MISTER BRITT USED TO SELL HIS HOME MADE CLACKERS TO KIDS WHO WERE WALKING HOME FROM LAURELWOOD SCHOOL -- THAT IS BEFORE THE IDEA WAS STOLEN BY A MAJOR TOY MANUFACTURER AND MADE WITH A CHEAPER FORM OF PLASTIC THAT OFTEN SHATTERED AND INJURED CHILDREN WHO USED THEM (CLACKERS CONSISTED OF TWO LARGE ACRYLIC BALLS, WHICH HUNG ON EITHER END OF A HEAVY STRING -- THE TWO BALLS WOULD SWING APART AND TOGETHER, MAKING THE LOUD CLACKING NOISE THAT GAVE THE TOY ITS NAME -- IF SWUNG TOO HARD, THE ACRYLIC BALLS WOULD SHATTER, SENDING FLYING SHRAPNEL EVERYWHERE. CLACKERS WERE BANNED IN 1985)

QUESTIONS: Why else would CBS/KPIX (for example) run a TV advertisement for Precor Fitness equipment just days after John sent a distribution route list to one of his employers via Google Gmail containing information about Precor Fitness?

Adding to this; what information does the NSA possess that may expose those who were involved in violating Johns' various individual rights over the past decade? In other words; why doesn't the United States Government also use NSA derived information for exonerating individuals as opposed to incarcerating individuals and/or stealing ideas for financial advantage; and especially since many of these individuals are being forced to pay taxes for their own surveillance?

"The US government, with assistance from major telecommunications carriers including AT&T, has engaged in massive, illegal dragnet surveillance of the domestic communications and communications records of millions of ordinary Americans since at least 2001. Since this was first reported on by the press and discovered by the public in late 2005, EFF has been at the forefront of the effort to stop it and bring government surveillance programs back within the law and the Constitution..." > go to: https://www.eff.org/nsa-spying

"NSA activities are hurting the United States. They threaten our economic interests, undermine our foreign policy objectives and damage the security of the global Internet. In less than a year, American companies such as Cisco and IBM reported declining sales overseas and lost business opportunities. Foreign companies are turning U.S. surveillance into a competitive advantage. The United States Government has undertaken modest steps to mitigate the damage caused by the NSA and begin the slow, difficult process of rebuilding trust in the United States as a responsible steward of modern communications networks..." > go to: http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/04/opinion/kehl-bankston-nsa-surveillance/index.html
